Zamora sigue siendo un centro de hospedaje para gente que trabaja, por lo que la ocupación hotelera tiende ir a la baja durante esta temporada vacacional, señaló Jaime Ramos Méndez, vicepresidente de la Asociación de hoteleros de la región Zamora.
Añadió “la gente que viene en plan de vacaciones o de diversión es muy poca todavía, no obstante afortunadamente tenemos atractivos turísticos en la región que hemos estado promoviendo como los es el Parque Nacional Lago de Camécuaro, en Tangancícuaro; La presa de la Luz, así como los lagos a Estancia y Orandino en Jacona; el geiser de Ixtlán, entre otros. Y hay gente que viene de vacaciones y los visita, pero pernocta en casa de familiares”.
Agregó “de igual manera también ha mejorado un poco la imagen en el tema de inseguridad, no obstante aun nos hace falta hacer mucha promoción de que las cosas no están tan violentas como aparentan en los medios de comunicación nacionales y extranjeros. Por tanto los turistas pueden venir sin ningún problema a vacacionar y a disfrutar de nuestra ciudad y de los atractivos turísticos de alrededor, y que somos una buena opción para vacacionar, pero esa es una tarea aun pendiente”.
En ese sentido dijo que cada uno de los michoacanos tiene mucho por hacer a través de las redes sociales, quienes deben promocionar el gran potencial turístico de esta región.
Dijo “son pocos los hoteles los que se mantienen ocupados de gente que si viene durante esta temporada a trabajar, pero son mínimos. Los estudiantes están de vacaciones, pero no sus papás por lo que la gente que trabaja viajando, está ahora en activo. Normalmente la ocupación hotelera en Zamora es del 60 por ciento, no obstante durante este periodo vacacional tiende a bajar un poco, porque la actividad económica baja en vacaciones”.
Mencionó que se estima que la ocupación hotelera actual ronda entre el entre el 50 por ciento o menos “dependiendo el tipo del hotel. La gran mayoría tiene una ocupación por debajo de la media de su capacidad”.
No obstante consideró que en esta región sí existe la infraestructura hotelera para alojar a cientos de turistas “son 9 hoteles los que forman parte de la Asociación de Hoteles, de los cuales 6 son de Zamora 2 de Sahuayo y 1 de Tingüindin, “de momento no recuerdo el número de habitaciones en total, pero son hoteles de gran capacidad. La infraestructura está sobrada”.
Enumeró algunos de los hoteles que forman parte de esta asociación: Jericó, Rambal, El México, Fénix, Mesón del Valle, El Hotel, etc.
Indicó que pese a los esfuerzos que hoteleros han hecho, aun no han logrado atraer suficiente turista de placer o de recreación, como para poder compensar esa baja natural que se da, sin embargo, siguen empeñados en realizar diversas estrategias para atraer a más turistas.
“Se acaba de elaborar una guía turística personalizada a cada hotel que contiene los datos de cada hotel y los servicios que ofrece, así como los atractivos de toda la región. Estas guías fueron auspiciadas por el fideicomiso de promoción turística del gobierno del estado. Fueron bastantes ejemplares para cada hotel. Cada hotel se está encargando de su distribución de manera regional o fuera de la entidad”, concluyó.
