– Ante diversos eventos nacionales e internacionales aquí celebrados que son importante polo de atracción de visitantes

“Zamora se está posicionando como una de las ciudades turísticas más importantes del estado, ante los diversos eventos nacionales e internacionales que han representado un importante polo de atracción de visitantes”, señaló Cuauhtémoc Ventura Orozco, director de turismo de Zamora.
Destacó que, por ejemplo, en diciembre pasado duplicaron el número de turistas y visitantes respecto a años pasados, ya que circularon más de 10 mil turistas en la plaza, atraídos por los adornos v navideños y los nacimientos en un esfuerzo de diversas áreas del ayuntamiento para recrear el espíritu navideño.
“También empezamos a rescatar eventos culturales de tradición como fue “noche de muertos” que fue muy nutrido, con más de 50 mil personas que a lo largo de 4 días visitaron la calle Cázares, donde se instalaron catrinas, altares, tapetes tradicionales, puente de transición, mesa de banquetes, artesanías”, relató.
Agregó, “dichos eventos también representaron un foro de proyección para que artesanos de otras partes del estado expusieran sus piezas y así proyectar no solo a Zamora, sino a Michoacán, como un estado con gran potencial turístico y una vasta cultura y tradición”.
Asimismo, a lo largo de esta administración encabezada por el presidente municipal, Carlos Soto Delgado, se han impulsado eventos encaminados al fortalecimiento de la paz y la recuperación de la fe, así como congresos y foros como los de cancerología y del Colmich.
“En la procesión del silencio de varones participaron de más de 30 mil y la procesión de mujeres alrededor de 10 mil personas, además del tianguis y los eventos en los distintos templos de la ciudad”, mencionó.
Por otro lado, añadió, se propiciaron eventos de inclusión, respeto a la diversidad, la no discriminación y la no violencia, “como fue la marcha del orgullo gay el mes pasado, al que se sumaron más de 5 mil personas. Por lo que, con todos estos eventos, estamos logrando que volteen los ojos a Zamora no sólo a nivel local, sino nacional e internacional”.
Dijo, “tenemos mucho que presumir, además todos los eventos que hemos hecho han sido con saldo blanco. Por lo que debemos cambiar la imagen que se tiene de esta ciudad, somos gente de fe y de trabajo”.
Indicó que todas estas actividades en lo que su área se refiere se destacarán en el primer informe de labores del presidente municipal, Carlos Soto, el cual esta programado para el próximo 18 de agosto.
“Aún están por definir el lugar y la hora y también si será o no presencial, ante la nueva ola de COVID. El presidente será muy responsable en determinar y tomar todas las medidas necesarias”, finalizó.
