Integrantes del comité de vecinos del barrio del Sagrado Corazón en Jiquilpan se manifestaron al exterior del centro de culto en demanda de que se respete el reglamento de imagen urbana, ordenamiento que, señalan, fue incumplido por un constructor con la complacencia de Cabildo y la Dirección de Urbanismo Municipal.
Señaló Octavio Meza Ortiz, tesorero del Comité de Vecinos, desde hace casi dos años que se vienen realizando trabajos para lograr la iluminación escénica de este templo, obra que se concluyó apenas hace unos meses sin embargo a un costado de este templo se comenzó a levantar una edificación que, señala, supera la altura permitida en el reglamento municipal de imagen urbana, documento generado a partir del nombramiento de este municipio como Pueblo Mágico.
En reunión con vecinos de esta parte de la ciudad, Meza Ortiz recalcó que en varias reuniones previas se había hecho del conocimiento del colegiado local la necesidad de aplicar este reglamento en la intención de que la construcción ya citada no obstruyera la visibilidad de este templo desde lla plaza central.
Es de señalar que hace unas semanas el cabildo autorizó al particular a dar continuidad a la obra ya que en el reglamento de imagen urbana no se establece que no se pueden edificar tres pisos sino que señala que las construcciones, a partir de la entrada en vigor de este reglamento no podrán exceder los 10.5 metros de altura y se determinó en base a la revisión realizada por la comisión integrada por regidores que la construcción llega apenas a los 9.5 metros de altura por lo que resultaba improcedente la solicitud firmada por varias organizaciones sociales en el sentido de revocar la licencia de construcción otorgada para este particular pues de acuerdo al regidor Omar Santillán ello sería vulnerar los derechos del propietario y poner en un predicamento al municipio.
Al seno de la reunión, los integrantes de este comité señalaron que de ser necesario tocarán puerta por puerta en la ciudad para recabar el apoyo ciudadano y exigir que la alcaldía haga respetar el ordenamiento que regula las construcciones de esta ciudad.
La molestia, de acuerdo a Octavio Meza, es que existe ya una orden de suspensión de la obra sin embargo el propietario se niega a acatarla.
