A través de dos recorridos, 40 y 60 kilómetros aproximadamente, 150 participantes dieron vida a “Rodando Por Una Sonrisa”, evento donde los ciclistas se unieron por una causa altruista, ayudar a la rehabilitación de personas con capacidades especiales de la región que proporciona el Centro de Rehabilitación Integral (CRI) Promotón Zamora.
El punto de reunión fue la plaza principal de esta ciudad, donde a temprana hora del domingo los pedalistas recibieron un desayuno ligero y de ahí, partir a los recorridos, cerrando el evento con una comida en la quinta del Ayuntamiento Municipal.
Cada ciclista aportó una cuota de ayuda de 200 pesos, con derecho a Playera Conmemorativa a los primeros 100 inscritos, desayuno, abastecimiento durante el recorrido y comida. Tomaron parte ciclistas de Guadalajara, Uruapan, Purépero y Zamora.
El recorrido de 40 kilómetros para el nivel principiante comenzó en El Indio y llegando a Los Globos, subieron a La Herradura, para después bajar a Guarachanillo, municipio de Tangancícuaro.
Asimismo para cubrir los 60 kilómetros asignados a los niveles intermedios y expertos, los ciclistas realizaron el anterior recorrido, pero con el plus de retornar en Guarachanillo a La Autopista y finalmente bajar a Los Toboganes.
Juan Carlos Velázquez Hernández, presidente del Patronato CRI Promotón, mencionó que cada año al acercarse el evento, se suman muchas agrupaciones culturales y deportivas e instituciones educativas; como porristas, baile moderno, para hacer su evento cada quien, pero de manera paralela, para reunir recursos para el CRI Promotón.
Señaló que en esta ocasión, convocaron a los ciclistas para que dieran su aportación económica y participaran en una rodada, que es un paseo y no una competencia, sino para disfrutar de la montaña Purépecha durante 3 ó 4 horas, pero que todo lo reunido se destinará a beneficio del Promotón.
Reveló Velázquez Hernández que el pasado sábado se acercó el Grupo de Ciclistas del Café Madero, encabezado por Roberto Vega, con una aportación de Diez Mil Pesos, “Simplemente por la causa noble y por ser amantes del ciclismo de montaña”, agregó.
Invitó a que como este grupo de ciclistas, se vallan acercando y sumando deportistas de todas las disciplinas para organizar algunos otros eventos de convivencia, competencias o exhibiciones, “Y que todo sea en beneficio de esta causa, que es una causa de todos”, finalizó.
