Ante el hecho de que tanto las perforaciones como redes de abastecimiento de agua potable se están utilizando en labores agrícolas y de ganadería, las autoridades de la comunidad de El Fortín han planteado ya la posibilidad de abrir nuevas perforaciones destinadas de manera exclusiva para estos sectores.
De acuerdo a lo señalado por Octaviano Casillas, encargado del orden de esta comunidad, resulta alarmante la cantidad de agua que se destina para usos diferentes a los del consumo humano por lo que destacó que en breve sostendrá reuniones con representantes ganaderos y ejidales de esta comunidad para dar forma a este proyecto.
“Así como estamos ahora nadie nos garantiza que el agua vaya a alcanzar para la gente, el ganado y las siembras por eso necesitamos ver dónde podremos abrir otra perforación que sea nada más para ellos”.
Es de destacar que en esta y otras comunidades la utilización de agua potable para labores de riego, fumigación y abrevadero es lo común, sin embargo a decir de este y otros encargados de diversas comunidades esta costumbre afecta ya de manera sensible la capacidad que tienen las comunas para garantizar el abasto de agua a sus pobladores.
En ese sentido el entrevistado explicó que será necesaria la concurrencia de voluntades y recursos de los tres órdenes de gobierno así como de los sectores ganaderos y agrícolas para, primero, realizar la gestión y costear después las operaciones para lograr concretar este proyecto.
