En promedio, 800 toneladas de garbanzo fueron declaradas como pérdida total derivado de las lluvias de los últimos días de acuerdo a productores de este grano quienes estimaron la pérdida en la producción de cerca de 200 hectáreas.
Ramón Figueroa, productor de este grano señaló que derivado de que muchos productores desistieron de establecer cultivos de trigo optaron por rotar las siembras a garbanzo lo que incrementó de manera importante el volumen de cosecha que se preveía para este año.
Señaló que si bien el precio que se había pactado para la compra, de poco más de 4 pesos kilo, no era lo ideal, al menos los gastos podrían recuperarse a través del incremento de volumen lo que no será así debido a las pérdidas registradas.
Por su parte el presidente del módulo de riego La Palma AC Roberto Sánchez Villanueva señaló que este viernes se sostendrá una reunión con los encargados de los canales de riego para establecer las cifras precisas de las superficies inundadas por la lluvia y los cultivos que fueron dañados por las granizadas del lunes y martes pasado.
Recordó Sánchez Villanueva que tanto el personal de la Secretaría de Desarrollo Rural como Sagarpa iniciaron ya el recorrido en este Distrito de Riego para determinar las superficie y los cultivos que fueron afectados en la intención de incluir a los ejidatarios en los planes de apoyo creados para amortiguar las pérdidas que se registren de acuerdo a las reglas de operación de este tipo de apoyos.
