-Destaca la participación de Jacona y Chavinda

Municipios de la región se unieron para participar en la reforestación de la zona de Patamban y el municipio de Charapan, en donde fueron plantados diez mil pinos, informó el regidor de ecología, medio ambiente y asuntos indígenas Marco Antonio Álvarez Cabrera.
El regidor dio a conocer que existe gran interés por parte de los municipios de la región de formar un Corredor Verde desde Charapan hasta la meseta purhépecha, a fin de preservar tanto los bosques como el agua, por lo que el Consejo Regional de Ecología, conformado por los regidores de ecología y medio ambiente se reúnen para trabajar.
De estas reuniones se tomó la decisión de participar en la reforestación de dos importantes pulmones de la región como son la comunidad de Patamban del municipio de Tangancícuaro y el municipio de Charapan, siendo la respuesta de las autoridades municipales y comunales y de la ciudadanía realmente buena.
Consideró que la participación tanto del municipio de Jacona, como el de Chavinda destacó ya que ambos municipios aportaron tanto herramientas como personal humano para hacer la labor.
Por parte de Jacona, se contó con la presencia de los regidores Marco Antonio Navarro Nava de Aseo, Parques y Jardines, el regidor Samuel Aguilar Romero, el director del Sistema de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado de Jacona, Luis Antonio Martínez Espinoza; el titular de la Dirección de Bomberos y Protección Civil Municipal, TUM Pedro Torres con su equipo de trabajo, también asistieron personal de la administración municipal, así como el maestro Luis Miguel Jiménez Campos director del Mo Du Kwuan Tae Kwan Do de Jacona, siendo cerca de cien personas del municipio las que participaron.
Una pequeña parte del grupo apoyo en la reforestación de la zona de Patamban y la mayoría trabajo en Charapan reforestando la zona conocida como Cuaztaro.
Los municipios de Jacona, Zamora, Chavinda, Tangancícuaro, Santiago Tangamandapio, Chilchota, Uruapan e Ixtlán participaron en esta acción, a fin de contrarrestar el daño que causa la tala clandestina, los incendios forestales así como el cambio de uso de suelo forestal por agrícola y con ello preservar la precipitación pluvial y el oxígeno en la región.
