Desarrollarán operativo de seguridad específico en zona geotérmica en Villamar con motivo de las conmemoraciones de Semana Santa, esto fue señalado por Enrique Martínez Rivero, director de la Fuerza Ciudadana en esta demarcación.
Señaló que la intención es convertir esta zona geotérmica en un espacio seguro para los vacacionistas; de hecho el domingo pasado se comenzó con los trabajos preventivos en materia de seguridad para esta región que se encuentra en los límites con el municipio de Venustiano Carranza.
Destacó que el plan que se implementará lleva la intención de evitar acciones y actitudes fuera del orden legal en esta zona geotérmica para lo que se coordinarán los trabajos con las autoridades locales.
Respecto a la formación de esta zona que consta de un lago de agua salada de unos 400 metros de superficie y un área de pequeños volcanes de lodo hirviente y una zona arbolada; el historiador zamorano Jesús Álvarez del Toro en su libro Gauarachita ayer… Villamar hoy; monografía municipal de Villamar, 2002, refiere una crónica de Luis G. Arceo Ruiz, en la que señala que fue justo a las 12 del mediodía del primero de noviembre del año de 1900 cuando “… se deja oír en el fondo de la llanura una explosión de gruesa artillería que conmueve el centro de la tierra y repercute más allá de las cumbres de los cerros que rodean el espectáculo; la gente corre de sus casas, y emigran con velocidad de su terror y espanto a las faldas del cerro y de ahí dominan que los negritos están en erupción vomitando de sus entrañas masas de cieno y vapores sulfurosos que sacaban y sepultaban la tierra firme”.
Refiere Álvarez del Toro que dicho fenómeno telúrico de origen volcánico duró cerca de 25 minutos y “horadó un ensanche ovalado a la antigua alberca de unos 400 metros superficiales en una honda de irregular forma cónica sin poderse calcular su ignota profundidad que manaba gruesos veneros de agua salitrosa que presto llenó su vaso como si contuviera un ojo de mar salado”.
