Pese a que desde hace cuatro días se dio apertura a las compuertas para el desfogue de los excedentes de agua, pescadores y autoridades comunales de Ibarra externaron su preocupación ya que en ambos lados del afluente se han presentado desgajamientos en los bordes.
De manera concreta Jesús Antonio Razo Temores, encargado del orden de la localidad de Ibarra ha señalado que se ha incrementado el tamaño de las fisuras existentes en el borde entre el río y la localidad a más de que en el otro extremo, el borde construido para formar la delta de dos afluentes se encuentra prácticamente derrumbado lo que implicaría el desborde de agua a zonas de cultivos en la parte de la localidad de Cumuato.
Actualmente solo se encuentra en operación una de las compuertas para permitir el trasvase de agua a cada lado del puente pero, de acuerdo a las autoridades de esta comunidad desde el pasado lunes se inició la operación de la totalidad de las compuertas de este puente que se encuentra en la desviación a la localidad de Ibarra.
Razo Temores señaló que de manera cotidiana se realizan recorridos a pie sobre el borde de contención en la idea de realizar un monitoreo del tamaño de las grietas: “todos los días caminamos para checar el tamaño de las fisuras y poder avisar a tiempo”.
En lo que hace al borde opuesto, señaló que tenía la información de que en cuanto las condiciones climáticas lo permitieran se llevaría a cabo la rehabilitación de la contención de tierra.
