«Parece Viernes Santo» decía la gente pues desde la tarde de este miércoles las ciudades de Sahuayo, Jiquilpan Venustiano Carranza redujeron al mínimo su ritmo de actividades; los ciudadanos con la cabeza baja caminaban presurosos, había que llegar a casa lo antes posible, las cosas no estaban para quedarse en la calle.
Desde el martes por la tarde los rumores de enfrentamientos en diversos puntos de la geografía de la Ciénega difundidos a través de las redes sociales había puesto el tinte sombrío en el rostro de la gente de esta región.
Ya para el miércoles por la mañana varias de las escuelas particulares de Sahuayo decidieron no trabajar, y el ritmo de las calles comenzó a decaer, las calles comenzaron a perder vehículos y peatones mientras las redes sociales incrementaban el estado de zozobra, rumores sobre gasolineras incendiadas, presidencias tomadas, tiroteos, se volvieron el tópico de los ciber usuarios de esta Ciénega, falsos los rumores pero la semilla del miedo estaba sembrada ya.
El jueves por la mañana de manera oficial las escuelas suspenden labores por motivos de seguridad; SAGARPA y el Ciidir-IPN cancelan por los mismos motivos una reunión programada para analizar el problema del pulgón amarillo.
Las calles de Sahuayo, hasta el lunes intransitables, eran ahora cintas de concreto con apenas unos cuanto vehículos; las calles antes llenas de compradores, vendedores ambulantes, camionetas con música de banda a todo volumen eran ahora prácticamente páramos desiertos.

La delincuencia organizada en la que conminaban a la ciudadanía a no salir de sus hogares ni siquiera por víveres bajo pena de levantarlos o caer abatidos caló hondo en el ánimo de la gente de estas ciudades.
Los pocos negocios que abrieron lo hicieron a “media cortina” listos para cerrar y esconderse en caso de ser necesario; previamente en un comunicado emitido a través de una red social el alcalde de Sahuayo Rodrigo Sánchez decía que todo estaba dentro de la normalidad, que se trataba de hechos aislados lo que provocó el enojo de la ciudadanía.
En lugares como Jiquilpan y Venustiano Carranza la situación era similar, los comercios abiertos con recelo, los compradores mirando sobre su hombro y esta región antes saturada de camionetas con música a todo volumen, con carros de perifoneo, con negocios con bocinas al exterior con muchachas alegres paseando su donaire por las calles y plaza está desierta, no hay música, no hay alegría, parecía Viernes Santo en la devota región de la Ciénega de Chapala, lugar donde de acuerdo al discurso oficial no pasa nada, está todo dentro de la normalidad, al final, dicen, se trata sólo de hechos aislados en tanto que las fuerzas federales, estatales y municipales cierran los ojos y corren de un lado a otro con sirenas y torretas incrementando el temor de la ciudadanía.
Durante las dos últimas noches las calles se tornan en verdaderos cementerios sin cuerpos; los tradicionales cafés al aire libre de Jiquilpan decidieron no abrir, los puestos de tacos de Sahuayo que operan en la madrugada brillaron por su ausencia, la actividad nocturna simplemente no existió y de acuerdo al comunicado de los grupos delincuenciales, esto no tiene fecha de caducidad.
