De haber casos positivos, son curables; sin embargo, recomiendan medidas de prevención

“No hay riesgo de que la gripe aviar se pueda extender y haya contagios masivos entre humanos, ya que se transmite de un animal, en este caso ave, a la gente. La mejor herramienta contra esa enfermedad es la prevención e higiene, la población puede colaborar para evitar que se generen complicaciones como es el uso de cubrebocas que permite minimizar los riesgos”, explicó el médico Rubén Alfaro Carranza, en entrevista con EL INDEPENDIENTE TV.
Aseguró que los pacientes que llegan a manifestar gripe aviar presentan síntomas como tos, diarrea, dificultades respiratorias, secreción nasal y dolor de cuerpo y garganta. En casos más graves son neumonía, insuficiencia renal y cardiaca con un alto grado de probabilidad de fallecimiento, siempre y cuando se combine con otros factores.
Comentó por fortuna la enfermedad es curable porque los casos que se llegan a presentar son leves. La población debe estar atenta con el consumo de productos cárnicos que provengan de esa ave, así como el hecho de cuidar el contacto con estos animales de traspatio, sobre todo si se dedican a la actividad de manutención de las aves.
Finalmente, agregó que, en el caso de COVID e influenza, entre mayo y junio, han ido de manera importante a la baja, de manera aislada acuden pacientes a consulta privada, los cuales no representan ningún riesgo para el total de la población, pero recomendó no bajar la guardia en el tema.
