“En los últimos días el mercado Hidalgo se ha visto desangelado, lo que también ocurre en otros de la ciudad, es poco el flujo de amas de casa que acuden a hacer sus compras, lamentablemente las ventas han caído en más del 50 por ciento”, lamentó Juan Manuel García Rodríguez, encargado de conocida carnicería ubicada al interior de este centro de abastos.
Agregó que es palpable la crisis económica que padece la población, “no hay trabajo, la inflación sigue elevada, pues los precios de los productos de la canasta básica siguen al alza. Todo esta caro, tanto la carne, el pescado, el pollo, las verduras, las frutas, etc.”.
Consideró que es desalentador ver que la actividad económica está muerta, “no sólo para los carniceros, sino para los comerciantes en general”. Tan sólo en el también conocido como mercado grande se concentran 5 carnicerías.
En su caso, dijo que han tenido que importar menos producto cárnico, a consecuencia de estas bajas ventas, “y de estos 5 establecimientos se mantienen por lo menos 30 familias, quienes están padeciendo esta difícil situación”.
Debido a ello, hay riesgo de que sigan desapareciendo más carnicerías, “en este mercado no ha habido cierre de estas, pero en el municipio, de cada 10 que inician, sobreviven 5. Las que no logran permanecer es que caen en la cuenta que gastan más de lo que venden”.
Pese a la complicada situación que enfrentan las carnicerías, dijo que en los últimos 6 meses han mantenido estable el precio de la carne, “de por sí la gente no nos compra y luego si nos ponemos a subir, peor aún. Actualmente está 180 pesos el kilo de bistec y 130 pesos el kilo de cocido. Mientras que hace un semestre estaba 10 pesos más económico”.
“El incremento obedece a que el proveedor nos aumentó el precio, todo nuestro producto lo traemos de los estados de Jalisco y Guanajuato. El flete nos aumenta, la gasolina, la mano de obra, así como el alimento para ganado. Prácticamente todo va al alza”, detalló.
Aunado a que, dijo, en dichos estados foráneos la producción de ganado ha mermado a consecuencia del mal clima y el difícil acceso al alimento para el ganado, por sus elevados precios.
Finalmente mencionó que comúnmente el periodo vacacional es complicado para los carniceros, “generalmente en actividad escolar aumenta un poco la venta o durante algunas festividades”.
