La regiduría de aseo en coordinación con la Dirección de Aseo Parques y Jardines, limpiaron aproximadamente un kilómetro del canal ubicado a un costado de la calle Matamoros.
Un total de cuatro trabajadores de la dirección limpiaron el canal cortando la maleza y recogiendo la basura, iniciaron a partir del jardín de niños de la colonia Trasierra y concluyeron en el puente General Ríos, informó el regidor de Aseo Marco Antonio Navarro Nava.
Subrayó que la acción tiene como objetivo evitar encharcamientos e inundaciones en esta temporada, pues la basura que se tira a los canales evitan que el agua fluya, ya que forman represas (taponeo) que provocan el estancamiento y la salida del agua, de igual forma que la maleza que crece sobre los bordes.
Navarro Nava reconoció la buena labor desempeñada por el personal de la Dirección de Aseo, Parques y Jardines cuyo titular es José Cuadra García y afirmó que intensificaran las acciones a fin de prevenir inundaciones en la población.
El regidor lamentó el hecho de que la población utilice los cuerpos de agua como depósitos de basurapor lo que dio a conocer que tendrá una reunión con los colonos de la calle 16 de Septiembre, cuyo principal objetivo es concientizarlos de que el tirar basura en los ríos, drenes o canales es en perjuicio de todos los habitantes de Jacona.(j)
