– Será del 6 al 21 de julio; por vez primera se tomará parecer a comunidades indígenas

Del 6 al 21 de julio el Instituto Nacional Electoral (INE) realizará la consulta previa, libre e informada a personas, pueblos y comunidades indígenas en materia de auto adscripción calificada para definir las características que deben tener las personas indígenas que se postulen a candidaturas a cargos federales y de elección popular.
Informó Silvia Verónica Mauricio Salazar, vocal ejecutiva de la junta distrital 05 del INE, dijo que esta consulta se hará a personas indígenas, pueblos y comunidades para que cuando se postule a alguien cuente con la representatividad requerida.
Es decir, abundó, que no sea desde los partidos políticos quienes definan en que consiste esta caracterización de la persona que los represente. La consulta será de manera individual mediante un cuestionario. Se va a consultar la forma, los mecanismos y los elementos idóneos para verificar y acreditar la auto adscripción.
Mencionó que calificarán la forma en que se va a acreditar que una persona que pretende ser candidata indígena realmente cuente con un vinculo con la comunidad a la que pretende representar, “el propósito es revertir escenarios de desigualdad que enfrentan grupos de personas en el ejercicio de sus derechos, en este caso, los de la comunidad de origen”.
Las personas que participaran en esta consulta ya se inscribieron con antelación durante el periodo de convocatoria que se realizó del 6 al 17 de junio del 2022. La etapa deliberativa se realizó del 18 de junio al 1 de julio. La valoración de opiniones y sugerencias se realizará del 15 al 19 de agosto y la conclusión y dictamen del 22 de agosto al 7 de septiembre.
Subrayó que hasta la fecha no se tiene gran claridad de que características debe tener un miembro de la comunidad indígena cuando lo postulan para un cargo de representatividad, “por tanto, serán los mismos miembros de la comunidad indígena los que decidan si una persona puede ser un candidato idóneo porque sus autoridades tienen la potestad de decir que esa persona si pertenece a la comunidad”.
Resaltó que la finalidad de esta actividad es crear las condiciones para que las personas que sean propuestas como candidatos indígenas cumplan con el requisito de ser representativas, “que las candidaturas no surjan desde el exterior de la comunidad, sino al interior y que realmente tengan esta legitimidad de pertenecer a una comunidad indígena”, finalizó.
