Respecto al año pasado la pesca en el Lago de Chapala se incrementó de 150 y 200 kilos hasta 2 y 2.5 toneladas por día dijo Ediberto Magallón procesador de pescado en la región de La Palma.
De hecho señaló que quienes introducen el filete de mojarra y las carpas a los mercados de Guadalajara han solicitado descender el ritmo de pesca ya que de momento los mercados están saturados.
Ante ello, dijo que es posible que los remanentes de esta pesca sin igual en la última década sean comercializados en los mercados locales lo que además evitaría que se dispararan los precios para las dos últi8mas semanas de la temporada de cuaresma.
Explicó que esta sobre producción ha beneficiado a pescadores y comercializadores toda vez que los peces son ya de tallas reglamentarias lo que implica que con menos unidades de peces se pueden alcanzar los pesos deseados por los clientes al menudeo y los comercializadores.
Señaló que hace apenas un año la productividad se contabilizaba los 150 o 200 kilos por día que procesaba cada una de las fileteadoras de esta comunidad contra los, mínimo, dos mil kilos que se están procesando durante la actual temporada por día.
Estableció que en tanto no se dé la liberación de los mercados en la ciudad de Guadalajara solicitarán a los pescadores que les abastecen que suspendan labores al menos un par de días a la semana en lo que se realiza también la comercialización de los excedentes en los mercados locales.
“Necesitamos para dos días a la semana porque en Guadalajara nos están diciendo que ahorita tienen mucho pescado entonces descansamos un rato y seguimos pero por el momento hay pescado para la gente de aquí y ya nos comprometimos a no subir los precios esta temporada”.
