-Francisco Sevilla Romero asumió cargo como presidente del Colegio de Ginecología y Obstetricia del Valle de Zamora

No hay déficit de ginecólogos en Zamora y municipios aledaños, “somos alrededor de 75 que trabajamos a nivel privado, de los cuales solamente 48 estamos colegiados, la idea es invitarlos a todos para que se agremien porque lo que buscamos es mejorar nuestras técnicas médico-quirúrgicas y mejorar la calidad asistencial para el paciente”, consideró el Dr. Francisco Sevilla Romero, presidente entrante del Colegio de Ginecología y Obstetricia del Valle de Zamora.
Dijo que a pesar de que son muchos, “no tememos a la competencia, mientras más compañeros haya habrá más oportunidad de mejorar la calidad y calidez. La competencia siempre es buena”.
Eduardo Antonio de la Luna y Olsen, director de la 5ª región de la Federación Mexicana de Colegios de Obstetricia y Ginecología A.C., encabezó el acto de la toma de protesta de la nueva mesa directiva del Colegio de Ginecología y Obstetricia del Valle de Zamora, donde Sevilla Romero estará por un periodo de 2 años. Le antecedió en el cargo el doctor Rosendo Oseguera Villanueva.
De la Luna y Olsen, quién asumió la batuta en la 5ª región, la más importante del país, que comprende los estados de Michoacán, Jalisco, Colima, Guanajuato, Nayarit y Aguascalientes, encomendó a la mesa directiva seguir trabajando con responsabilidad como lo han hecho sus comités anteriores.
“Deben seguir apostando a incrementar la actividad académica, tratar de reunir al mayor número de gineco-obstetras, médicos generales y enfermeras. Todo el sector salud debe estar involucrado y en la vigilancia de nuestras mujeres embarazadas”, subrayó.
Como vicepresidente de esta mesa directiva quedó María Elena Álvarez González; en la tesorería Octavio Ayala Martínez, como secretario José Luis Hernández Hernández; en vocalía por Tangancícuaro, Fernando Garibay Oropeza; en la vocalía por los Reyes, Jorge Rodríguez Ávalos; en la vocalía por Sahuayo Jorge Ávila Gudiño y en la vocalía de Purépero José Manuel Reyes Magaña.
Sevilla Romero mencionó que el Colegio pertenece a la Federación Mexicana de Ginecología y Obstetricia (FEMECOG) a nivel nacional y al Consejo Mexicano de Ginecología (CMGO), “al ser un órgano colegiado tenemos múltiples ventajas: educación médica continua, actos académicos, cursos, congresos y reuniones, donde se eleve la condición académica del médico. Así como asistencia médico legal por parte de la FEMECOB; becas, puntuación para certificación, ya que el médico actualmente debe ser colegiado y certificado para poder trabajar correctamente”, finalizó.
