FC Palo Alto le arruinó la estrategia a Boca Jr. con una gran goleada de 6-2, pero también le arrebató el derecho a contender en Semifinales la próxima semana, con la expectativa de ganar y acercarse un paso más en la lucha por el título de Copa.
Duelo de Cuartos de Final de la categoría Segunda, celebrado el domingo en el Campo Tribunas de la Unidad Deportiva “Poniente”, dentro del Torneo de Copa “Ramón Estrada-Salvador Ramírez”, de la Liga Michoacana de Futbol de Zamora.
Durante el arranque del primer tiempo, los jugadores de Boca tantearon al rival y a poco, comenzó a demostrar algo de supremacía sobre su enemigo; a tan sólo 11 minutos del arranque, Guillermo Vargas (número 100), puso a festejar a la afición con un gol tempranero.
Pero no contaban con que Palo Alto reaccionaría fuerte y a los 31, 34 y 35 minutos respondieron con tres anotaciones a cargo de Luis Higareda (casaca 22), Rigoberto Magaña (playera 9) y Gerardo de la Peña (número 17), respectivamente; así con el marcador de 3-1 se retiraron al descanso.
El partido se le presentó fácil para el equipo de FC Palo Alto en la segunda etapa, no sin antes recibir el segundo tanto del Boca Jr. al minuto 58, por conducto de Renato Hernández (casaca 15), para el 3-2.
Palo Alto aprovechó que tenían cierto control sobre Boca Jr., en la fracción 69, Daniel Quintana (número 21) se hizo presente al concretar el cuarto gol para su equipo. Cinco minutos después, Juan Cruz (playera 10), apeló a su calidad de puntero para batir con un preciso remate la meta enemiga y poner los cartones 5-2.
Aun así, Armando Rodríguez (número 18), demostró su capacidad de llegar al área rival y con facilidad, volvió a llamar a la puerta enemiga el sexto tanto para el 6-2 final a favor de FC Palo Alto, al minuto 81.
