Los niños de 5 a 11 años quedarán vacunados contra COVID antes del inicio de clases. Se estima que en la tercera semana del mes de agosto reciban la segunda dosis de acuerdo con la planeación hecha por autoridades sanitarias y municipales para proteger a ese sector de la población.
“De hecho será un requisito indispensable para ingresar a las escuelas, porque en los planteles educativos se les solicitará el comprobante de vacunación respectivo para que puedan ingresar a la escuela sin riesgos, ya que es una realidad que el COVID todavía no concluye y se requiere de la participación de los padres de familia”, puntualizó Jaime Ramírez Oregel, director de salud pública.
Informó que la situación del comprobante de vacunación se ha planteado desde la unidad regional de servicios educativos, con el objetivo es generar conciencia entre la población y tomar la seriedad debida el tema de la vacunación.
“El problema es que cuando se deja de vacunar a los niños se genera un cuadro de subvariantes que pueden ocasionar signos diferentes de la enfermedad a la población y es perjudicial, porque no se sabe cuál será el comportamiento en la gente”, dijo.
Finalmente agregó que en la jornada de vacunación para niños de 12 a 17 años la respuesta fue regular, pese a que se pusieron a disposición 3 mil 400 vacunas para ese sector de la población, “en fechas posteriores ya no tenemos contemplado hacer el proceso de vacunación para este grupo”.
