Esperan mujeres artesanas de Jiquilpan poder obtener la patente de las artesanías a base de capullos de seda para poder iniciar el proceso de exportación y fomentar además entre las mujeres de este municipio la cría de este gusano.
“Estamos promoviendo dos cosas: que las personas asistan a ver los criaderos de gusano de seda en la Casita de Piedra y la otra es que la gente conozca nuestro producto para que se interese y se puedan abrir mercados” señaló Cyania Cortés Padilla quien está en el área de mercadeo de este proyecto.
Agregó que incluso se capacita a personas de la tercera edad así como a jubilados y pensionados para, a través de la manufactura de artesanías generar micro empresas ya que los productos que se generan tanto del procesamiento de la seda como del capullo son bastante accesibles.
A través del apoyo que brinda el municipio, las productoras buscan que las artesanías puedan ser colocadas dentro del paquete que se maneja vía la Casa de las Artesanías además de hacer acto de presencia en cada una de las ferias del estado a fin de posicionar estos productos.
Es de señalar que la fase de comercialización es la etapa final de un proyecto emprendido de manera conjunta desde hace varios años entre el gobierno estatal, el gobierno municipal, el Centro Interdisciplinario de Investigaciones para el Desarrollo Integral Regional del Instituto Politécnico Nacional y mujeres de las comunidades de Totolán, Los Remedios y Abadiano que junto con la Casita de Piedra en el Bosque Cuauhtémoc son los centros de crianza de este gusano.
Actualmente, dijo, se trabaja para lograr la patente de este tipo de artesanía y se ha certificado ante notario público el proceso de producción mediante el cual se da certeza de que la producción se hace estrictamente con derivados del gusano ya que este uno de los requisitos que se han solicitado para poder exportar este tipo de artesanía a Estados Unidos.
