– La mayoría son varones que decidieron ponerse un nombre femenino

En las 231 oficialías del registro civil de la entidad, desde el 2019 a la fecha, un total de 400 personas han tramitado el cambio de identidad en su acta de nacimiento. El 80 por ciento de estas, han sido varones que han optado por tener un nombre femenino y el 20 % restante mujeres que se han puesto un nombre de hombre.
Así lo informó Lenin Alexander Álvarez García, director del registro civil en Michoacán, esto en el marco del mes del orgullo gay y durante su visita a esta ciudad entrevistado en la ceremonia de inauguración de la estancia “NIDOS”.
Recordó que este trámite es completamente gratuito, “el usuario presenta la solicitud con nosotros, los documentos, su acta primigenia y se hace un trámite administrativo de reserva y se le asigna la nueva identidad”.
Admitió que este mes la demanda de este servicio continua al alza, “estoy firmando de 3 a 5 solicitudes a la semana, es un tramite que no tarda mucho, tratamos de realizarlo en un plazo no mayor de 15 días”. Respecto al año anterior, se han incrementado dichos tramites hasta en un 300 por ciento.
Asimismo, mencionó que los matrimonios igualitarios también se incrementaron, “esta legislación entró en vigor en el 2016, sin embargo, desde el 2017 se empezaron a celebrar los primeros. La última estadística nos arroja que van más de 400 matrimonios igualitarios en la geografía michoacana”.
Admitió que hoy en día cada vez es menor el temor de “salir del closet”, “esto debido a que ya con todos los movimientos, los activistas y demás actividades y fenómenos que se han dado de apoyo a este sector, cada día hay más libertad. Eso permite que los usuarios con más tranquilidad y sin miedo puedan acudir con nosotros a realizar este tipo de tramites “.
Aseguró que en la capital y en ciudades grandes de la entidad es donde más solicitudes tanto de cambio de identidad como de matrimonios igualitarios se han generado, “no obstante, en la mayoría d ellos municipios de Michoacán, a diario nos están informando los oficiales cuando realizan un acto de esta índole”.
La mayoría de estos matrimonios igualitarios son de personas jóvenes de entre 20 a 40 años. Aseguró que todos los oficiales del registro civil y el personal que labora en las oficialías están debidamente capacitados para no discriminar a estas personas.
“El tema de la inclusión es un mandato del gobernador, Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, además que existan las condiciones para poder atender todo tipo de solicitudes, no únicamente en este sector, sino en todos los sectores de la población”, finalizó.
