En la intención de preservar especien endémicas del Lago de Chapala, el gobierno de Jalisco ha emitido normas de pesca que deberán ser de observancia para los pescadores del estado de Michoacán.
Según representantes e integrantes de la cooperativa Palo Alto de este municipio, las normas emitidas recientemente establecen un estricto control para la obediencia de las vedas de Bagre y Charal, especies consideradas de alta rentabilidad pero tyanto también con endeble equilibrio poblacional.
También, dijeron, se les ha informado que existirán sanciones, adicionales a las federales, por la utilización de redes y artes de pesca que pongan en riesgo las poblaciones de especies ya citadas.
Lo anterior, dijo Martín Ramos, integrante de esta cooperativa debido a que especies como pescado blanco y boquete han desaparecido y están en riesgo ranas y patos silvestres.
“Creíamos que esto era nada más para los peces pero también se trata de los patos, los borregones, gallaretas, ranas y otros animales, ya nos dijeron qué se puede y que no se puede cazar o pescar”.
De acuerdo a la información que recibieron los pescadores, los límites estatales no serán obstáculo para aplicar las sanciones que se ameriten por el incumplimiento de estas normas a más de que seguirán vigentes las normas en cuanto al tamaño de redes, zonas de veda y artes de pesca que están reguladas.
A más de lo anterior, se realizarán revisiones periódicas en la intención de abatir el fenómeno de los pescadores furtivos o independientes ya que la normatividad señala que, ninguna persona podrá tener permiso para pesca comercial sino a través de una cooperativa establecida.
