El calor y uso de las albercas son factores de riesgo para propiciar infecciones vaginales en las mujeres, por lo que esta temporada suelen incrementar los hongos y bacterias, señaló Sergio Navarrete Peña, ginecobstetra y presidente de la Fundación Oh Madre AC.
Añadió “una de las situaciones terribles en todas las albercas del mundo es la falta de responsabilidad de los usuarios, porque hay un reglamento para uso de las mismas, sin embargo no se respeta. En este se establece que antes de usarlas debes bañarte; para dar el permiso de utilizar una alberca previamente el dermatólogo debe revisarte que no tengas hongos en los pies, en la piel, que no padezcas de infecciones de trasmisión, donde la alberca pueda ser un conductor de estas”.
Agregó “hay mucha suciedad en las albercas, porque como la gente no se baña hay una innumerable cantidad de materia fecal y en ella la presencia de parásitos, hongos, bacterias pues hace un batidillo ahí medio quisquilloso, además la gente orina en las albercas”.
Resaltó que de tal suerte que cuando las personas usan la alberca y no tiene un aseo especial, “por supuesto que incrementa la posibilidad de infecciones vaginales y que además una de las condiciones para que se establezcan las infecciones son la humedad. A veces la gente es inconsciente sale de la alberca y así se queda humedad, el traje de baño se seca en su piel y eso favorece las infecciones”.
Indicó que con el uso de albercas que incrementa en esta temporada, las mujeres son más susceptibles que los hombres a adquirir alguna infección “el hombre difícilmente se afecta en una alberca. Las infecciones que podría sufrir el varón son virus y estos no son viables prácticamente una vez que salen del cuerpo”.
En cambio en mujeres las infecciones más frecuentes son hongos, parásitos (e coli, tricomona y monimia), por tanto, dijo, la principal recomendación a las féminas es el aseo, que mantengan secos sus genitales y que a la primera molestia de comezón o de flujo inmediatamente acudan con un médico facultativo para revisión.
“Toda vez que esto puede generar erosiones, ulceras en el cuello. Y luego son más problemáticas, tanto de quitar la ulcera, como el cuadro infeccioso y ya va a estar complicado con la enfermedad pélvica inflamatoria y van a gastar más y a perder tiempo”, explicó.
Señaló que el calor detonan más las enfermedades vaginales toda vez que “para una proliferación bacteriana se requiere calor, cuando queremos incubar algo necesitamos tener calor, humedad y cierta dosis de dióxido carbono, además con estas situaciones se detona el PH de la vagina, que es una especie de guardia, de soldado ahí que impide las infecciones”.
Es así, finalmente mencionó, “una vez que el PH se altera se deja la puerta abierta a que entre prácticamente cualquier bacteria, hongo o parasito. Esta es la razón por la cual el calor genera más infecciones, y hay mas humedad. Por tanto esta temporada es más propicia para el incremento de infecciones vaginales”.
