El ambiente gay en la zona de tolerancia del municipio, ubicada en la Avenida Juárez, es el lugar de mayor riesgo para un contagio de Enfermedades de Transmisión Sexual (ETS), debido a que se han registrado varios casos de infección por VIH, cuyas cifras no han sido dadas a conocer por la Jurisdicción Sanitaria N° 2 para no generar discriminación en el sector.
“Es una situación en la que debemos trabajar de manera importante porque no solo se expone a quien va y solicita un servicio de ese tipo, sino también a terceras personas. No es una situación de alarma, pero si es algo en lo que tenemos que poner atención”, puntualizó Rodolfo Solís, impulsor de la firma del convenio entre propietarios de los centros nocturnos y el Centro de Urgencias Médicas de Yurécuaro (CUMY) para establecer un control sanitario en el sexo servicio de la zona de tolerancia.
Indicó que con esta medida reforzarán las medidas para que las sexoservidoras y servidores se encuentren libres de cualquier enfermedad, pero además también para que reciban la orientación necesaria para evitar cualquier contagio y lo más importante que acudan a tiempo a recibir un diagnóstico sobre su estado de salud.
“Para nosotros es un aspecto importante, al menos en los centros nocturnos, ya que las empleadas no pueden dar servicio si no tienen la validación de la Secretaría de Salud; pero el problema trasciende hacia afuera porque hay quienes laboran en la vía pública o en cruces, sin que se les exija realmente que cuenten con ese control”, dijo en el evento realizado en la Dirección de Fomento Económico.
Indicó que a pesar de la problemática, esperan concentrar alrededor de 400 personas para recibir la capacitación en un lugar y fecha por definir con CUMY, pero además recibirán la oportunidad de un examen gratuito de VIH Y sífilis que son las enfermedades que más perjuicios pueden traer consigo al tener un contagio.
Por su parte, Francisco Javier Jiménez, director general de CUMY, que el objetivo de la firma del convenio también radica en proteger y promover los derechos humanos en cada intervención diseñada, además de aplicar los principios y normas de salud pública.
“Nuestro proyecto se basa en datos oficiales recabados así como por la sistematización de las experiencias de nuestra organización en el tratamiento del tema. Así pretendemos lograr que a las mujeres u hombres que se dedican al sexo servicio se les declare libre de estigma y discriminación que todavía forman parte de la cultura de las personas”, mencionó.
Concluyó al decir que está será la primera ocasión que extenderán sus servicios a Zamora, luego de otorgarlos en lugares de Jalisco, Guanajuato y de municipios de la región como La Piedad, Vista Hermosa, Tanhuato y Yurécuaro.
