El sindicalismo en nuestro país va a la baja ante la falta de empleo y represión, consideró Francisco Hernández Juárez, secretario general del sindicato de Telefonistas de México. Lo anterior durante su visita a esta ciudad hace unos días, donde se reunió con 250 agremiados de esta entidad.
Dijo “en México el sindicalismo tiene problemas porque hay políticas sindicales de control por parte del gobierno y de los empresarios. El nivel de sindicalización es bajo. Y mientras no haya sindicatos libres y democráticos, que no estén controlados por el gobierno y por los empresarios, difícilmente van a mejorar las condiciones de los trabajadores”.
Por eso dijo que los sindicatos deben redoblar esfuerzos y trabajar duro a fin de que el sindicalismo se fortalezca en México “en eso, nuestro sindicato está empeñado y va a seguir luchando para lograrlo”.
Y es que consideró son múltiples los factores que han propiciado esta baja en el sindicalismo, “obedece primero a que casi no hay empleo, después son pocos los que se crean, ya los empresarios no permiten sindicatos o los controlan, bajo lo que se llama contratos de protección patronal y a los que no controlan, pues los reprimen. Muy pocos se han librado de esas condiciones y además se generan muy pocos empleos en el país. Todo ello contribuye al nivel de sindicalización que es bajo. Casi el 60 por ciento de los trabajadores en el país no pertenece a ningún sindicato”.
Lamentó “los trabajadores que no tienen sindicato no tienen con que defenderse. El sindicato es lo único que sirve para defender los intereses de los trabajadores; es el único instrumento para lograr hacer valer nuestra voz. Por eso hay que seguir insistiendo en ampliar y fortalecer la sindicalización en México”.
En ese sentido dijo que las estrategias para ello son “lograr una ley en la que se fomente el respeto a los derechos de los trabajadores, lograr que se cumplan los convenios internacionales que tiene México firmados con la Organización Internacional del Trabajo (OIT); lograr que los empresarios y el gobierno no vean a los sindicatos como problemas, sino como parte de las soluciones que se tienen que encontrar y una política económica que genere empleo. Todas estas estrategias combinadas son las que se tienen que impulsar “, concluyó.
