De las 5 mil hectáreas de cultivo de fresa que se estima se establecen durante el periodo de plantación en esta región, solamente 800 están certificadas ante el Servicio Nacional de Sanidad Inocuidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria, mediante un sistema de reducción de riesgos de contaminación que les permite a los beneficiarios mejorar su exportación y un mejor control en la inocuidad.
Así lo informó Víctor Manuel Ponce Guizar, encargado de la implementación, divulgación y capacitación del programa inocuidad agrícola, del que se deriva el sistema antes citado, añadió que de los 600 productores de esta frutilla que hay en esta región que comprende los municipios de Zamora, Tangancícuaro, Chavinda, Pajacuarán, Tlazazalca y Jacona, se estima que solo el 30 por ciento están incorporados a este esquema.
Señaló que esta certificación se tiene que renovar cada dos años “los interesados deben registrarse en www.senasica.org.mx o bien acercarse a las oficinas del sistema producto fresa, para que una vez que formen parte del padrón, el comité les ofrece asistencia técnica y capacitaciones para reducir los riesgos de contaminación y sobre buenas prácticas en el campo; así como apoyos de análisis desde microbiológico de agua, de metales pesados, análisis de fruta, de pesticiditas, validaciones de procedimientos”.
Añadió que antes de que se entregue esta certificación, los agricultores deben tener acreditados 15 módulos, entre los que citó registro, higiene, buenas prácticas agrícolas, capacitación, evaluaciones internas, buen uso y manejo de agroquímicos, fertilización, cosecha, empaque, trasporte, etc. “es decir se tiene que cumplir con todo el proceso productivo de la fresa”.
Indicó que este programa es permanente y durante cada zafra de fresa se hace la convocatoria a los interesados. Para este ciclo de plantación de la frutilla que arranca el primero de agosto la meta es certificar de 400 a 600 hectáreas de cultivo. En 2013 se certificaron 437 hectáreas, y en 2014, 243 hectáreas de los municipios ya citados.
Informó que actualmente en la frontera hay una mayor exigencia en cuanto a revisión del producto, de ahí la importancia de que los productores se registren en este esquema oficial del gobierno federal, el cual es totalmente gratuito.
“Esta certificación le garantiza un respaldo al productor en cuanto a exportación, y le garantiza un respaldo del personal profesional en la sanidad vegetal que la da seguimiento al proceso productivo del campo: se vigila que no haya existencia de contaminantes y se hace una evaluación minuciosa para descarta riesgos. Por lo que están al pendiente de la producción ingenieros agrónomos, especialistas, así como laboratoristas, finalizó.
