Michoacán destaca a nivel nacional en el combate de incendios forestales. Y es que la entidad logró dos reconocimientos de manos del presidente Enrique Peña Nieto en ese rubro. Uno fue entregado a Oscar Hernández Fuentes, coordinador regional de la Comisión Nacional Forestal (CONAFOR) y el otro lo recibió la brigada de la comunidad indígena de San Cristóbal, del municipio de Ocampo, Michoacán
Hernández Fuentes detalló que año con año la CONAFOR a nivel nacional lanza una convocatoria para reconocer a las mejores brigadas especialistas en el manejo del fuego, como a los mejores técnicos especializados en ese rubro, “afortunadamente fuimos merecedores de este reconocimiento que nos entregaron recientemente en un acto que tuvo lugar en el estado de Tlaxcala”.
Indicó que a nivel nacional en la categoría de técnico especializado en el combate al fuego, fueron 4 combatientes los que obtuvieron el reconocimiento; 3 de la CONAFOR de los estados de Michoacán, Zacatecas y Distrito Federal y 1 de la Comisión Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas (CONANP) de Chiapas.
De igual manera en Michoacán se reconoció el buen desempeño de la brigada rural de la comunidad indígena de San Cristóbal, del municipio de Ocampo, integrada por 10 elementos, “además de la felicitación que obtuvimos por parte del gobierno de la República, se nos entregó un incentivo económico”.
Mencionó que este reconocimiento posiciona a Michoacán como una entidad de gran nivel en cuanto a capacitación de sus combatientes de incendios forestales de la CONAFOR, “esto sin duda impacta las acciones y las políticas públicas de nuestro director general, Jorge Rescala Pérez, en cuanto a la aplicación del programa de incendios“.
Señaló que su experiencia en el combate de incendios y manejo de fuego a lo largo de 17 años ha propiciado un mayor impacto en cuanto a la coordinación inter institucional y en la atención de los incendios, “esto también gracias al apoyo de nuestro gerente estatal, Osvaldo Fernández”.
Comentó que previamente fue propuesto en el Comité Estatal de Incendios para poder participar en esta convocatoria, donde calificaron los años de experiencia, la capacitación y el impacto que ha tenido a nivel local en el programa de incendios forestales.
“Este último aspecto que evalúan lo hemos trabajado de manera intensa con ejidos, comunidades y los propios municipios. Además destacó el Centro Regional Intermunicipal de Combate de Incendios Forestales, asentado en esta ciudad de Zamora, el cual es el único que ha funcionado y el único que se instaló por vez primera y que permite llevar al estadística certera de cuantos incendios se registran y detectar las zonas donde se generan puntos de calor que pueden derivar en un siniestro”, sostuvo.
Detalló que el programa de incendios maneja muchos cursos enfocados en ese rubro, “hemos tenido la oportunidad de tomarlos, tanto los cursos básicos, como especializados y avanzados, en cuanto a combate, manejo e combustible, el manejo de fuego y la estrategia del programa de incendios que está basada en el sistema “manejo de incidentes”, finalizó.
